Project History

The system came from an engCETL project proposal by Tony Sutton, Wolfson School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering in 2005.
The original system was called Echo, and gained use in three engineering departments; Mechanical and Manufacturing, Electrical and Electronic, and IPTME (Institute of Polymer Technology and Materials Engineering).
With an increased need for functionality improvements, and with a desire to open the system up to the university as a whole, Tony Sutton submitted a new proposal to the engCETL for a complete redevelopment of the system.
On 21th June, 2007, the engCETL Project Panel approved the new project, and the current work began.
